How Long Does a Wedding Last? Real Timings by Stage
A wedding in Spain lasts between 7 and 11 hours in total. A civil ceremony takes 15-30 minutes; a Catholic one, 45-75 minutes. The cocktail hour adds 90-120 minutes and the reception between 4 and 5 hours. The type of ceremony and the start time determine what hour you actually go home.
